POLICY ON ENVIRONMENTAL & OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

The primary concern and overall objective of the company’s policy are the continuous improvement of business and environmental performance, as well as performance in Health and Safety at Work (HSW), concurrently creating added value for its customers. This is done while considering current legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as rapid technological advancements.

Specifically, the individual objectives of Quality, Environment, and HSW for the company are:

  • Continuous growth and improvement of business and environmental performance.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the environmental impacts of business activities to prevent environmental pollution.
  • Maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Continuous increase in productivity.
  • Providing safe and healthy working conditions to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases that may arise during the provision of services, involving employees, collaborators, customers, and visitors.
  • Minimizing non-compliance.

To achieve all the above, CONSTRUCTION I. DIMITRIOU LTD has implemented, applies, and continually improves the Integrated Management System, which complies with the International Standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:18.

The company’s management believes that Management Systems are essential tools for strengthening its business position due to:

  • Continuous improvement of service quality.
  • Improvement of its environmental and HSW performance.
  • More efficient organization.
  • Readiness for full compliance with all laws and regulations related to company activities.
  • Creating a better working environment through consultation with employees.

The policy serves as the framework and mechanism for determining and reviewing the Quality, Environment, and HSW objectives and goals and is subject to regular reviews by the Management.

Continuous improvement of quality and environmental performance, as well as performance in HSW and the prevention of problems and non-compliance, require awareness and systematic control in each individual process and as a whole.

The method used for process control requires:

  • Clear definition of responsibilities and authorities for each process and job position.
  • Written documentation of how tasks are performed (Procedures, Work Instructions, Control Instructions, etc.) where necessary.
  • Continuous monitoring of results.
  • Keeping written records that demonstrate the quality of services provided, environmental performance, and HSW performance.
  • Development of programs to achieve Quality, Environmental, and HSW objectives and goals.
  • A process for the company to learn from its mistakes, systematically ensure they do not reoccur (Corrective Actions), and continually improve its operations, creating a framework for error prevention.
  • Systematic identification, assessment, and control of all possible HSW risks that may arise during the exercise of activities, reducing the risk to the minimum possible level.
  • Systematic management of all issues related to safety and health in the workplace.

The company’s management is committed to:

  • Continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System.
  • Communicating the objectives and goals to employees.
